Daniel Webster of Odessa, TX passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Odessa, TX. Visitation will be Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00p.m. at Sherwood Church of Christ with Lynn Money officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Daniel was born in Ft. Stockton, TX to Dick and Paulene Webster on June 14, 1941. He attended school in Monahans, TX. He married Kana McAuley on October 22, 1962 in Odessa, TX. He received a Bachelor of Arts from The University of the Permian Basin in Criminal Justice. Daniel worked for the Odessa Police for 28 years as a police officer, a patrol officer, accident investigator, detective, Crime prevention and Sergeant over the jail. He then worked for Texas Pardons and Parole as a parole officer for 17 years. He served in the United States Army. He was involved in Church of Christ, Breakfast ministry, Optimist Club and Gun Club. He had a love for hunting and fishing with friends and family. He also loved football, golf and trap shooting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Paulene Webster; brother, C. A. Slater; half-brothers Clark Webster and Bill Webster. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Kana Webster; sons, Jon Webster and wife Lisa, Charles Webster and wife Jamie; brother, Burt Slater and wife Billie; sister, Margie Threadgill; grandkids, Tatum Webster, Whitney Webster, Gage Martin, James Poor, Kristi Poor and Christopher Webster; great grandkids Bentley and Zadie and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charles Webster, Gage Martin, James Poor, Braedon Barnett,Christopher Webster and Jarrett Wells. We want to thank Madison Medical Resort for their heartwarming blessings of dedication, effort, love and quality care over the years. Our sincere gratitude to Dr. Butler, Dr. Mocheria and Dr. Deaver for their many years of exceptional care. We thank God for the gift of his life and blessings of the time we spent with him.

There are so many memories that we have of Dan. He was first and foremost a great friend and wonderful teacher. A true original with a sneaky, great sense of humor. He will be missed by so many.
