It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my father today. Both a creative and an engineer, in his early years he worked as a local photographer as well as a projectionist at his local cinema. He was also an accomplished pianist who played in country western bands and could play most any song by ear. He served in the army during the Korean War. He went on to university to become an engineer and worked in the very early days of computers with Northrup Aerospace in California. He was my inspiration for traveling and seeing the world. He had a wonderful dry sense of humour and loved a practical joke. And, he was one well dressed dude, a cool dad, a great son and brother, and a wonderful husband. He and my mother shared 71 years together and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. We love you very much, Dad, and will miss you endlessly. It's impossible to encapsulate who you were in a few short words, but the meant the world to us.
