I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Dede was such a remarkable woman. Never knew a stranger. One of the most kind hearted and fun loving ladies ever! We went to Junior High School together, lost contact after High School and reconnected several years back. I know Rob and Liam were most certainly her world. Prayers for peace and comfort at this most difficult time and in all the days ahead🙏🏼✝️. May God keep each of you and the entire family in His care every day and in every way. Until we meet again. God bless.

Dede, you will be missed by so many people. When I was a teenager doing dumb teenager stuff, you were there to be appalled at my silly decisions and you feigned stress over all of them as Mama Surf. That was 25 years ago now. I love that no matter how much time went by, we could pick up where we left off. You were always ready with a laugh and witty comment. The welcome to parenthood photo in Russia always puts a smile on my face. The 3 of you were so lucky to have found one another. Rob and Liam, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you adjust to this new phase of life. All the love your way!

Rob and Liam,,
We are so very sorry for your loss. May sweet memories bring you comfort. Fate made us seat mates on the long flight from Atlanta to Moscow, and now we share the joy of adoption with the arrival of our grandsons from China. Rob, thru you and Dede we had the opportunity to meet 20 families in a few short months on their adoption journey. We are forever grateful

Dede,

You came into my life many many many years ago. I met you on a local BBS group and you seemed like a really cool person. Accepting, easy to talk to, and all around fun. You invited me to a BBS get together at your house and although I was reluctant to go, I got up the courage and did anyway. Not many people, but you, knew that underneath all of the craziness that I was actually a very shy and insecure person that was trying to figure myself out. Well, I showed up at your house and was looking all over the place for “Surfiena” (aka Dede) and I went into the garage and met another wonderful woman named “Laura”. She was equally as wonderfully, oh, wait.....it turned out to be the same person! Lol. Anyway, we had many fond memories over the years and many crazy times, but I cherish all of those times and can honestly say it was some of the best memories of my life. I’m glad you met someone like Rob, he’s a wonderful guy and you deserved to finally be happy. The joy that he and Liam brought into your life was well deserved and a long time coming.

Although we lost touch over the years, as many people do, you have and always will hold a dear place in my heart.

May you Rest In Peace Denise Diane Davenport O’Daniel.

Love you,
Tobitha
