DEWEY ALFORD Dewey Alford, 83, of Gardendale passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1928 in Coleman, TX to Otis & Lena Bell (Estep) Alford. He was a retired building contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Wanda J. (Singletary) Alford. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Munoz & husband Mario of Gardendale, step sons, Kent Crabtree & wife Linda of Odessa, Jim Hyde & wife Deene of Springdale, Arkansas, Shawn Crabtree of Odessa, step daughter, Sharon Bass of Lubbock, half-brother, Bentley Holly of Odessa, (5) grandchildren, Chloe Dow, William Dow, Samuel Woodward, Dezy Keith & Audry Mendiez, & (6) great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Monday, January 30, 2012 at Ector County Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Memorials may be made to Home Hospice or American Heart Association. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked for Dewy a long time ago, he was quite a man, I will always have fond memories of him and my time working for him.

Angela, I am sorry, I know Dewey's passing has been hard for you, your son and Mario ! His passing has left a big place in a lot of peoples heart as well did your mother ! Two of the finest and most wonderful people I have had the honor to know ! I wish that I could have been there !
