He was born in Odessa, Texas on April 13, 1953.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Norma Jo Pannell Norrell.
He is survived by his angel, Eva Doreen Kenimer; his devoted father A.C. Norrell and his wife Norma Thurman Norrell; brother James Bruce Norrell of Wimberley, TX; sister Leisa Norrell Lewis and brother-in-law Richard Lewis of Brentwood, TN; three nieces and four cats. Don's favorite cat was L.B.
Don graduated from Permian High School in 1971. Don worked as a pipe welder until he suffered severe injuries in an automobile accident in 1979. After a long convalescence, Don continued to enjoy life to the fullest.
A celebration of Don's life will be held in the chapel at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Home Hospice of Odessa/Midland.
