Dora Lucille Beane

Dora was born January 28th 1949 in Nacogdoches, Texas and was raised in Kaufman, Texas. She then traveled to Ft. Stockton and later moved to Odessa, Texas in 1973.

She met Leroy the love of her life in 1976. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and had passion for feeding people and was the glue of her family. Dora worked twenty one years at Medical Center Hospital Kitchen as a their number one baker. The most precious moments to her was being around her family.

Dora is preceded in death by her mother and father, and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband Leroy Beane, son, Michael (Angela) Hughes. Sisters, Mary Dunn, Sarah Dunn, Donnie Hubbard, Lillie Arthur, and Erma White. Brothers, Archie White Jr., and McArthur White. Grandchildren Xavier Hughes, Christian Love, Isaiah Hughes, Elijah Hughes, Jeremiah Hughes, and Sarah Hughes. Great Grandchildren Raiden Hughes, Azariah Hughes, Kyrie Edwards, Nixon Hughes, Naomi Hughes and Xander Love.

The family would like to thank Elodia Veale for all of her support and care throughout the years.

A visitation will be held at Odessa Funeral Home Monday October 30, 2023 from 4:00PM-7:00PM Services will be held at Greater St. John's Baptist Church on Tuesday October 31, 2023 at 10:00AM lead by Pastor EJ Miller. Burial to follow at American Heritage Cemetery.

The reception will be held at Woodson Park Community Center.
