Doris Marie Griffis David

Doris Marie Griffis David, 71, of Odessa passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home. Marie left for the splendor and glory of Heaven. She was born June 23, 1942 in Big Spring to Weldon & Lottie Griffis. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Carole Coffman. She is survived by her husband John H. David of Odessa; sons David W. David of McKinney, TX, Johnnie H. David Jr & wife Janice of Odessa; daughter Melinda G. White & husband T. J. of Odessa; brother David R. Griffis & wife Joycette of Arlington; sisters Linda Powers of St. Jo, TX, Georganna Sims & husband James of Lubbock; (4) grandchildren Mackenzie David, Brance David, Keverlie White & Landon White;(1) great-grandson Dexx Mojica; granddoggies Bogy & Alley; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday April 4, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Clydel Chapman officiating.
