

Doyle Hooper, 72, passed away at his home in Big Spring, TX on March 19, 2011.
He was born on October 31, 1938 in Big Spring, TX to Emmitt and Edna (Boren) Hooper. He worked as a Fireman for Big Spring and he loved to work with wood. He also served in the U.S. Army for 7 years and was stationed in Germany. He was a retired home inspector.
Doyle is survived by his wife Patty Hooper; Daughters: Sherry Stringer and husband Bobby of Odessa, Melinda Tacker of Odessa, Lisa Lang and husband Mike of San Antonio, TX; step-son: Lester Losell of Niagara Falls, NY; Step-daughter: Zenda O’Shea and husband James O’Shea of Big Spring; TX; Sisters: Rene Kennedy of Odessa, TX and Val Solis of Wenatchee, WA. Grandchildren: Michael Stringer, B.J. Meister and wife Jennifer, Kylie Tacker, Lindy Oldham, Mikaylie Lang, and step- granddaughter Ashley Smith, along with 3 great-grand daughters, 3 great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family visitation will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Home Hospice of Big Spring in Big Spring, TX.
