He graduated in 1972 from Del Rio High School where he played football. He attended college station & made his home in Odessa, where he made a career as a Meat Market Manager. He was recently employed at Market Street in Odessa. He was a hard worker and took pride in his job. He was blessed with a son (Efrain Jr.). On February 14, 2003, he married his beautiful wife, Esmeralda, and together they had a blended family of three children. His family was the heart of his life and they came first.
Efrain had many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, barbequing, golf, listening to music (he played the guitar when he was younger), and most of all he enjoyed anything to do with a good time around family, friends, Dallas Cowboy games and, of course, a cold beer. He was strong willed, had a way with words, did things his way, but had a big heart. He was a member of the VFW. There he made a lot of friends and enjoyed helping, contributing and volunteering. They will provide and serve food after services.) His big heart and smile will be missed by many, but not forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a stillborn nephew.
Efrain is survived by his beautiful wife of 28 years, Esmeralda Suarez; son Efrain Jr.; stepchildren, Jason & Lisa Gonzales; brothers, Ruben & Robert; sisters, Norma, Mary & Patricia; along with 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5-9 PM. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 10 AM at Faith Fellowship Church.
