Elaine Annelle Celander

Annelle was born on October 6, 1970. She was adopted to Wendell and Sharon Gregory, who welcomed her into their world with open arms and hearts. On August 2, 2002, Annelle married the love of her life, Lane Celander. Their 22 years of marriage were filled with laughter, love, and a strong partnership that stood the test of time.

Elaine grew up in Odessa, Texas, where she thrived in her academic pursuits. She graduated from Permian High School and continued her education at Odessa College, where she laid the groundwork for a fulfilling and impactful career in nursing. Throughout her 32-year tenure as a registered nurse, Elaine touched countless lives with her compassion, dedication, and remarkable ability to connect with her patients. Her unwavering commitment to caring for others was a hallmark of her life, and she approached her work with a grace that inspired those around her.

Annelle is survived by her husband, Lane Celander, and son Joshua Austin Brown; Brother, Josh Gregory (wife Adria); Nephews, Aaron Gregory (wife Tristan), Peyton Gregory, Garrison Gregory, and several other family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and adventure that will continue to resonate with her family and friends.

Elaine was not only a dedicated professional and a loving family member, but she also had a passion for adventure. She loved to travel. Her and Lane’s journeys took them to several European destinations, with her favorite being Ireland.

In her passing, Elaine leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew her. However, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved, and her memory will be honored through the countless lives she touched throughout her journey.

A celebration of life for Elaine will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761.
