

Thursday May 2, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and a
remarkable great and great-great Grandmother. She was born August 23, 1928 in Marfa, Texas to Carlos”Charlie” and Pilar
Sanchez Aguirre Sr. Elva met her husband of over 50 years in 1945. In 1947, she then relocated to Odessa, Texas to start a family.
She was a unique and astonishing women. One of her greatest accomplishments was to return to school, and at the age of 66, she
walked the stage and received her diploma. She was a great example of faith and hope. She looked at the world with no complaints,
and was a very happy person. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, and although she was blind, she didn't let it stop her. She was
known for making the best homemade cinnamon & fruit rolls that anyone and everyone loved to eat, she would also make dozens in
abundance of tamales to give to her loved ones. She was also known for her famous Mexican sugar cookies known a ‘Bis-Cochos”,
which has been passed down from her Mother up to her granddaughters DeAnna & Wanda Hill who will continue to keep this recipe
as a family tradition. She enjoyed telling stories and telling jokes to all of her grandchildren and attending family events. She was a
dedicated Christian and a long time member of Templo Buenas Nuevas Church. She has lived a long life and she will be missed by
all, but she is now leading a reunion in heaven with her children. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Jimenez,
Parents: Carlos Sr. and Pilar Aguirre and Son: Mike Jimenez and Daughter: Bette A. Hill. Sisters; Leonor Balmos & Juanita
Holguin, Brothers: Carlos Aguirre Jr., Nolberto Aguirre and Great-Great Great Granddaughter: Beatrice Brietanie Rodriguez.
Ms. Jimenez is survived by Sons: Freddy Jimenez, Raymond Jimenez; and Daughter: Susan Jimenez, Sister: Margarita Holguin , Brother: Guillermo Aguirre,
and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
We the Family, would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers,
floral, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. May God Bless you all abundantly.
Visitation will be held today Sunday May 5, 2013 from 1PM -9PM with a Service of Remembrance at 7:00 PM at Odessa Funeral
Home. Services will be held at 1PM Monday May 6, 2013 at Templo Buenas Nuevas Church located at 505 Vine St. Odessa, Texas,
with Pastor: Pilo Rodriguez officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
