

Enedina Madrid Rodriguez, age 91, was called away to be with her Heavenly father on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was born to Diego and Enedina (Pacheco) Madrid in Shafter, TX on Wednesday, May 14, 1930. She was united in marriage on October 29, 1949 to Valentin S. Rodriguez, Sr. in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico and together they raised nine children, enjoying almost 59 years together before separated by his death May 7, 2008.
Enedina was a Christian Catholic who was devoted to serving and loved the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother whose family was precious to her. She had a heart of gold and was always helping and giving to others. Their well being was her priority. Enedina enjoyed cooking and arts and crafts.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her sons: Armando Rodriguez and wife Elvira, Ismael Rodriguez and wife Emilia, Valentin Rodriguez Jr. and wife Josie, and Frank Rodriguez and wife Nina; daughters: Teresa Flores and husband Mike, Sylvia Valenzuela, Janie Rodriguez and husband Michael Ray Amaya; daughter-in-law: Laura Rodriguez; brother: Raymundo Madrid; sister: Aurora Perez and husband Urbano; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Diego and Enedina Madrid; husband: Valentin S. Rodriguez Sr.; her sons: Jesse Rodriguez Sr. and Israel Rodriguez; brothers: Arturo Madrid, Diego Madrid Jr., Raul Madrid, Hector Madrid, and Joe Madrid; sister: Gloria Alvarado and grandson: Gabriel Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin Monday, December 27, 2021 at noon. Rosary will be recited at Odessa Funeral Chapel at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Rose Hill Gardens section of Ector County Cemetery.

Enedina Madrid Rodríguez, de 91 años, fue llamada a estar con su padre celestial el domingo 19 de diciembre de 2021. Sus padres son Diego y Enedina (Pacheco) Madrid en Shafter, TX, el miércoles 14 de mayo de 1930. Estaba unida se casaron el 29 de octubre de 1949 con Valentín S. Rodríguez, Sr. en Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México y juntos criaron nueve hijos, disfrutando de casi 59 años juntos antes de separarse por su muerte el 7 de mayo de 2008.
Enedina era una católica cristiana dedicada a servir y amar al Señor. Ella era una amorosa esposa, madre, hermana, abuela y bisabuela cuya familia era preciosa para ella. Tenía un corazón de oro y siempre estaba ayudando y dando a los demás. Su bienestar era su prioridad. A Enedina le gustaba cocinar y hacer manualidades.

El velorio comenzará el lunes 27 de diciembre de 2021 al mediodía. El rosario se rezará en Odessa Funeral Chapel a las 7:00 pm el martes 28 de diciembre de 2021. La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará el miércoles 29 de diciembre de 2021 en la iglesia católica Holy Redeemer a las 10:00 am. La enterrarán con su esposo en la sección Rose Hill Gardens del cementerio del condado de Ector.
