In The Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found a Beloved Mother, Grandmother Sister and Dear Friend; Esther Escudero Cruz. Ms. Cruz 78, of Odessa passed away Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born August 22, 1932 to Fernando and Prisciliana Holguin Escudero in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua Mexico. She was a Christian Catholic and Homemaker. She united in marriage to Manuel Cruz November 14, 1954 In Ojinaga Chihuahua Mexico, whom preceded her in death April 25, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her Parents, and Brother, Cruz Escudero and 4 Sisters: Salome Cruz, Francisca Espinoza, Graciela Lopez and Claudia Guevara. She survived by Sons; Pedro Cruz (Yolanda) of Odessa, Jesus Manuel Cruz (Maria A.) of Odessa, Jaime Cruz of Odessa; Rene Cruz( Marta) of Andrews, Daughters; Maria Elena Del Moral( Francisco Javier ) of Odessa; Esiquia Gonzalez of Odessa; Araceli Gomez (Jesus Antonio) of Odessa; Maricela Cruz of Odessa; Laura Gomez(Fermin)of Odessa; Nivia Cruz of Odessa; and Nora Cruz of Odessa; Sister: Lorenza Hernandez of Hereford ,Texas, 38 Grandchildren, 54 Great-Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces Nephews Cousins and Many Friends. We the Cruz Family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. Pallbearers will be: Edmar Paredes Jr, Raul Cruz, Lino Cruz, Gregory Gonzales, Javier Cruz, Abel Cruz, Jesus Gomez Jr, Clarisbel Gomez, Jazmine Cruz, and Korayma Acosta. A Rosary will be recited at 7PM today Friday May 6, 2011 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Saturday May 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Uecker officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery Los Angeles Gardens. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Odessa Funeral Home.
