Gabriel Molinar Mancha

He was born in Odessa, TX on September 21, 1961 to the late Manuel Bernal Mancha and Simona Molinar Mancha. Gabriel was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and dear friend. He graduated from Ector High School in 1980 and continued on to trading school to receive a degree in vocational automotive mechanic in Dallas, TX. He joined in Holy Matrimony with Cristina Hernandez on September 21, 2002 by Reverend Francis X. Frey of the Roman Catholic Church in Odessa, Texas, they were married for 23 years.

Gabriel was a friendly, loving person. He would go the extra mile to help his friends and family in need. He worked as a technician for Willis Electric. Gabriel enjoyed working on his truck that everyone loved and wanted, it was his pride and joy. He worked on other vehicles as well, enjoyed music, outdoors, camping, traveling to see the mountain scenery and visiting Ruidoso, NM. NASCAR and NHRA Drag Races were his specialties. He collected t-shirts, statues and cars. He was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. And Dale Earnhardt Jr. and had a large collection of both. He was a catholic and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church and was an usher when needed.

Gabriel is survived by his loving wife Cristina Hernandez Mancha, his daughter Valerie Mancha, stepchildren Jeanie Benavides, Jose Benavides II, Regina Suchil and Tony Lopez Jr. all of Odessa, TX. His sisters, Rosa Cortez and Olivia Crow. His brothers Jose, Frank, Luis and Julian Mancha. He was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who he loved very much.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Manuel and Simona Mancha, his in laws Rosale and Josephine Hernandez and his grandson Erick Benavides.

Pallbearers: Tony Lopez Jr., Juan Pablo Mancha, Matthew Mancha, Joshua Mancha, Frank Mancha, Julian Mancha, Anthony Lopez, Seth Suchil.

A visitation for Gabriel will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Drive, Odessa, TX 79761, with a rosary starting at 5:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 612 E 18th St, Odessa, TX 79761. A committal service & burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E, Odessa, TX 79762.
