He was a talented mechanic providing his knowledge and expertise to Ector Transmission, H & H Automotive, Lloyd’s Transmission, and spent the last 20 years at Love's Auto. Jerry lived a life marked by deep love for family, a passion for motorcycles and cars, and a unique sense of humor.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters and their spouses: Elizabeth and Jeff Hinojos, Josephine and Andrew Garner, and Christina Vier. He was a proud grandfather to Audrey Skiles, Elaina Vier, and Iris Vier, who affectionately called him “Grandpa Cherry” and in return lovingly called them “Pumpkin” and “Angel.”
Jerry is also survived by his siblings: Ralph Navarette (Yolanda), Alonso Navarette, Debra Navarette (Silvestre), Carolina Navarette, and Delia Renteria (Frank), along with his sister-in-law Belinda Jimenez Navarette.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Librada Navarette. Brothers Israel Leroy Navarette and Gilbert Navarette Jr. Beloved niece Lisa Marie Navarette. Adored pet Delilah, who was always by his side, his constant companion and best friend.
Jerry had a deep love for riding his Harley, watching NASCAR, and working on cars. A true gift was watching him work on a transmission. His ability to tear them down and put them back together as quickly as he did was truly amazing! He also loved spending time with his granddaughters every chance he got.
