Georgia May Jackson

Georgia was born February 11, 1935, in Glendale, AZ. She moved to Odessa with her parents and siblings in 1948. She married L. E. “Bud” Jackson on April 11, 1969, at First Presbyterian Church in Odessa. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Jackson Luffman and husband Bobby of Bella Vista, AR; three brothers, Charles (Buddy) Cade (Rose) of Euless, TX; William (Bill) Cade (Stella) of Walnut Creek, CA; and Ronald (Ron) Cade (Dahlia) of Fort Worth, TX; three sisters, Phyllis Glenn of Sargent, TX; Marlene Martin of Irving, TX; and Ginger Daniel of Bedford, TX. Georgia is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Velma Cade, her husband Bud, and one sister, Elizabeth Ann Cade Post.

Georgia was a longtime member and elder of First Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of Presbyterian Women. She was a charter member of Odessa Chapter of BPO Does #162. She dedicated her life in service to others and particularly enjoyed many volunteer activities related to First Presbyterian Church. Among her volunteer work was Meals on Wheels and providing care to many personal friends. Her hobbies included garage sales, flea markets, card playing, bingo, and watching sports. She spent more than 20 years caring for children.

A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Odessa, TX.
