Gregory Neal Leslie

Greg was born on February 9, 1955, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to the late Jeane (Broughton) and Jay Leslie. Throughout his life, Greg was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the incredible ability to make everyone feel like a friend. It was often said that Greg never met a stranger, and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him would agree.

Affectionately known as "Goober," Greg had a zest for life that was contagious. He found joy in the simple pleasures—listening to Elvis Presley, playing games on his phone, and making trips to his favorite destination, Las Vegas. Whether he was sharing a laugh, telling a story, or simply flashing his unforgettable smile, Greg had a special way of lighting up every room he entered.

One of Greg's greatest passions was bowling with the Special Olympics, where he enjoyed both the competition and the friendships he made along the way. More than anything, Greg loved living life to the fullest. He embraced each day with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a spirit that inspired those around him.

Greg dearly loved his faithful pet, Holy, who brought him comfort and companionship. He also shared a special bond with his best friend and girlfriend, Kayla, whose love and friendship meant the world to him. Greg was blessed with countless friends throughout his life, a reflection of his warm, welcoming nature and genuine love for people.

Greg leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his sister, Connie Williams and her husband, Charles, of Lindale; his nephew, Justin Lackey and his wife, Tracie, of Lindale; his niece, Krystal Moore and her husband, Craig, of Monahans; his great-nephews and great-nieces, Tristan Lackey of Lindale, Jake Lackey of Odessa, Courtney of Florida, Destinee Marcum and her husband, Payton, of Odessa, Dalton Moore and his wife, Erin, of Monahans, and Dyron Moore and his wife, Katlyn, of Monahans. He is also survived by ten cherished great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Though Greg's earthly journey has come to an end, the joy he brought to others, the kindness he shared so freely, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

His family finds comfort in knowing that his bright smile, gentle spirit, and love of life will never be forgotten.
