

GUSTAVE HERMAN DOELLINGGustave Herman Doelling passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 13, 1921 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Gustave and Marget Doelling. He graduated from Fort Wayne Central High School in 1939. He was a master plumber until he joined the Army in 1941. He was a 1st LT and Air Corp Bomber Instructor stationed at Midland. On October 29, 1944 he married Bessie Lou Parker. They moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana after he was discharged from the Army in 1945. He went to work as a plumber before moving back to Odessa in 1947. He went to work for Parker & Parker Construction. He later began his own construction company, Area Builders, that lasted for 25 years. He became a member of First Presbyterian Church in 1956. He served as a Deacon and Elder.He is survived by his wife, Bessie Lou Doelling of Odessa, (2) sons, James Herman Doelling & Jay Parker Doelling, (2) grandsons, Gregory Troy Doelling & wife Nikki, James Trevor Doelling. (1) granddaughter, Crystal Jayann Lehrmann & husband, Jeremy, (4) great-grandchildren, Maranda, Dylan, Alex, & Morgyn, and (1) sister, Catherine Whiteman of Fort Wayne, Indiana.There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 14, 2009, at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church.
