

Hazel Ruth Lummus, age 94, a homemaker and long-time resident of Odessa, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born March 15, 1919, to Claude and Francis Rosana (Bryant) Copley in Munger, TX. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church and was married to Edward Lummus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, a granddaughter, two grandsons, and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons Arlan, Joe, and Mark Lummus, all of Odessa; her brother Homer Copley of Coolidge, TX; sisters Vera Lummus of Sundown, TX, and Marie Hayes of Mexia, TX; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Vaughny Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
