Helen was born in North Dakota, on December 6, 1932, to Helena Evanson Ramsey and Palmer Ramsey. She graduated from Odessa Senior High School in 1951. On September 25, 1952, she married the love of her life, Clyde "Fibber" Earnest McGee, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering love. Helen dedicated much of her career to serving others. She worked for White's Store for 32 years before retiring from Atmos Energy, where she faithfully worked for 10 years. Above all else, Helen treasured her family. She especially loved spending time with those she loved, enjoying meals at her favorite restaurants with her son, Rick, and taking road trips in years past. Preceded in death by her parents, Helena Evanson and Palmer Ramsey; her beloved husband, Clyde Earnest McGee; son, Mark McGee; her brothers Ed Ramsey, Phillip Ramsey and Palmer Ramsey; her sisters Betty Synatchk and Elvina Grinstead.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: son, Ricky McGee of Odessa; her daughter-in-law Diana McGee of Keller; her grandson RJ McGee; her granddaughters April McGee, Casey Jobe of Keller and Kimberly McGee of Hurst; her great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Christian; and brother, Clarence McGee of Odessa, along with many extended family and friends.
Helen was a faithful member of Faith Fellowship (formerly Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord), where her Christian faith remained the foundation of her life. Helen's legacy is one of enduring unconditional love and devotion to family. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, welcoming heart, and the reminder she consistently shared as those she loved left her home: "Goodbye, Jesus loves you, and so do I." Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.
