She was born November 1, 1936, to Roy and Cordie (Slay) Moore in Mineral Wells, TX. She married James O. (Sonney) Hicks on October 22, 1955, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Colleen Scott.
She is survived by her husband Sonney Hicks of Odessa; son Delbert W. Hicks II and wife, Cynthia of Temple, TX; brother Roy Moore of Ft. Worth, TX; sister Sandra Byrd of Odessa; two grandchildren Mason Gage and Preston Harrison Hicks; and two great-grandchildren Mason Hadley and Layla Pearl Hicks.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Shane Branecky officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
