Jimmy married Cindy Hodges on May 2, 2003. He was a mechanic “extraordinaire” and enjoyed working on anything and everything mechanical. He would fix all of the bikes for the kids in the neighborhood and the cars for all the adults. He was the go-to handyman for friends and family. He was an avid motorcycle rider, loved NASCAR, the local racing at Penwell, fishing, camping, and anything outdoors. He was the founder of Duel Sports Riders of Midland and Odessa group on Facebook. He was a pet lover and spent quality time in his garage with his cat, George, while they listened to the police scanner. He enjoyed shooting guns and was a rattlesnake killer. He had a great sense of humor and was a very funny guy. Jimmy worked for Bridges Equipment for nearly 20 years and truly enjoyed every bit of it. He was a highly valued employee and friend.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cindy; stepdaughter, Marcy Graham; mother, Tommye Diller; brother, Johnny Hodges; and sisters, Kennie McClinton and Cathey Bumstead.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Leroy Hodges.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1-5 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, November 1, 2021 at 10 AM at First Church of the Nazarene followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casey Graham, Devin Graham, Andrew Talley, Russell Harlow, Matt Bowen and Brandon Riddle will serve as pallbearers.
