James Hollis Meek, 79, of Odessa passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Midland Memorial Hospital He was born January 11, 1934 in Big Spring, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was owner of the Swim Shop.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J. M. & Helen Meek, daughter, Karla Meek, & sister, Reba Kennedy.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Meek of Odessa, son, Kent Meek & wife Johnnie of Midland, daughter, Kathy Gianfala of Odessa, sisters, Meda Cunningham of Big Spring, Jolene Starrack of Coleman, Betty Jaun Valiquette of Midland, granddaughter, Sarah Fontenot, great-granddaughter, Tierrah, brother-in-law, Bob Kennedy, & best friend Gene Walls, & numerous nieces & nephews.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
