Jen Badillo Rogers

Jennifer Badillo Rogers, born on July 7, 1980, passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 46. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, artistic talents, and deep love for her family, friends, animals, and faith.

Jennifer graduated with honors from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, where she participated in the gifted and talented program. She was also a talented musician, playing the violin in the Hood Junior High Orchestra and later with the Permian High School “Satin Strings.”

Throughout her life, Jennifer dedicated herself to caring for others. She worked as a domestic helper, at Baby Blues Day Care, as an office and housekeeper, and as an assistant dog groomer. She was also a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, faithfully serving as a regular pioneer.

Jennifer found joy in life's simple pleasures and expressed herself through many creative hobbies. She loved picture sketching, working with pastels and watercolor, quilting, crocheting, and playing both the guitar and keyboard. She enjoyed collecting waterbird whistles, scented candles, and porcelain dog figurines. She loved Disney’s Stitch, she especially loved flowers, with cannas and roses being her favorite.

Her love for animals was evident throughout her life. Jennifer cherished her beloved dogs—Brandy, a Red Heeler; Blue, a Black Schnauzer; Lilly, a Terrier; and Luna, a Shih Tzu—as well as her two parakeets.

Jennifer also enjoyed oriental cuisine, especially noodles and sushi from Market Place, and she treasured the friendships she built with people of all ages. Above all, she loved her children and family, who were the center of her life.

Jennifer is survived by her son, Jacob Mason of Odessa, Texas; her daughter, Zoey Jasmine of Odessa, Texas; her loving parents, Jabiel and Isabel Badillo; her brother, John Badillo and his wife, Britanie Badillo, of Doyline, Louisiana; and her sister, Velerie Velasquez and her husband, Daniel Velasquez, of Odessa, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Juan Badillo and Josephina Badillo of Odessa, Texas, and Rosendo Fuentez and Francisca Fuentez of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Jennifer's warmth, creativity, compassion, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the love she shared, the beauty she created, and the countless lives she touched.

May her memory be a source of comfort to all who knew and loved her as they look forward with hope to God's promise of a future reunion.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Odessa Funeral Home.
