Jennie Lee Solomon

Jennie cherished her roles as “Mother,” “MaMa,” and “Grandma Jennie.” She enjoyed sewing, word-search family pictures, collecting butterflies, crossword puzzles, crafting, traveling, shopping on Amazon, and, above all, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her son, Donald McCarty of Odessa; six grandchildren, Shannon McCarty of Ben Wheeler, Jason McCarty of Odessa, Tina Sifford of Kerrville, Jamie Bryant of Midland, Robbin, and Russell McCarty; 14 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Jennie was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin McCarty and Ross Solomon; her son, Roger McCarty; and her granddaughter, Kathy Struble, her brother, Jesse Davis; her sisters, Betsy and Jewel

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa Tx.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to her caregivers for the love, compassion, and support they provided over the past year.

Jennie’s love for her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and generations that followed, will be remembered and cherished by all who loved her.

We will hold tightly to the cherished memories of her irreplaceable love, her laughter, and her wisdom. We will forever treasure the thoughtfulness she showed through the cards and letters she would send, the phone calls she made, the visits she shared, and the homemade meals she prepared with love throughout the years. Her kindness and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She will truly be missed.
