JoAnn, I am so sad hearing about your passing. You were Mama’s heart to heart for many years until she passed away. You were always there with a smile and a kind word. Your voice was unmistakable. You always have a helping hand and helped with every fellowship, wedding, funeral, special occasion, VBS. Literally the heart and soul of the Tabernacle. I know you are excited to be with Mr. Benny. Ok’ WW himself must’ve been waiting at those pearly gates waiting to bring you home. I love and miss you!

JoAnn was a precious friend. I enjoyed our talks and knowing we had each other to lean on. Her precious family….she talked of each of you lovingly. She was so proud of all of you. My heart aches however, I know she’s home. I will miss her terribly. My prayers are with all the Bridges family.

Mrs. JoAnn is home; bittersweet news. We’re left to move forward without her smile, comforting arms, and words of wisdom. Awaiting until the day we see her again. What a privilege it has been to be a part of her circle of friends and to receive words of wisdom from her. She was a fierce prayer warrior. Always willing to come along side you and stand in prayer. How humbled I felt whenever she would request, I pray for her. She lived what she believed. To hear her talk of her beloved Benny always warmed my heart. If we could be so blessed to find a love like theirs. We have truly suffered a loss. We will move forward holding in our heart what she taught us and passing on her and Benny’s legacy of love, prayer, kindness, and God’s Word. Thank you Mrs. JoAnn for sowing into my life.

From the first time I met JoAnn, I felt the love and peace of Christ in her and around her. I will always know her as an example which I will strive to follow, as she is ‘one who grew in wisdom and stature’ through all the days of her life. I have been made a better person by having made her acquaintance. Her legacy will live on in and through her beautiful family.

When you lose your Mother puts a large void in your life that slowly is filled with all the living moments, hugs, kisses and wisdom you took for granted all your like. The tear subside and smile returns to you face knowing you are now charged with continuing the good things she instilled in your spirit. My prayers are with you and your family Jimmy

The lord gained a special angel. I know she will be playing music still every Sunday. She was a great example of what a true believer is and I am blessed that I got to know her through the church.

Mrs. Bridges was the best. In church / Sunday School we (myself, Mike, Booger Freeman, Bruce Shores, and the list goes on) were all a bunch of heatherns, but Mrs Bridges would always just look at us with that great smile and not say a word (not that I remember). But she had that look with the smile that said "boys will be boys" . Mike and Jimmie, I'm sorry for your loss but obviously Jesus has called her home. Sincerely, R. Thurston

Grandmother imprinted the following advice on my heart: “If God is for you, then who can be against you?” I have used it as guidance in more circumstances than I can count. In her final days, I repeated these words back to her and she said, “You’re right, and He is for me, Bailey. Jesus is my best friend.” I find such comfort knowing she is home with Jesus and Grandad. Her wisdom and love for Jesus will transcend the generations of our family forever ❤️

Don and I used to have such fun with JoAnn and Benny when we lived across the street. We played cards or board games or just sat and talked! Good memories, where does the time go! Jimmy and Mike hugs and prayers to you and your families!
