It was a sad part of Christmas Day when I read about the passing of Joe. I was a fraternity brother with Joe at NDSU and also a pharmacist. I have plenty of memories that include studying, lab sessions, exams and the perhaps a celebratory beer or two.
My condolences to the family and friends of Joe Meier.

While this is late, many of from Jamestown High class of 1975 just got word of Joe's passing--I am deeply saddened. I only wish that he would have been at our 35 class reunion and he will be remembered this next summer when we gather for our 40th. Joe had a special place in many of our hearts--and I remember the after prom party that he hosted at his parent's house. I lost track of Joe over the sympathy to the family. Joe was one of the kindest guys and will be long remembered.

Blake and Joe's family - I am deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing. Blake, you won't remember me, but there was a time when your Dad and Mom and you were regular guests in my home. I considered your family to be in my group of "best" friends. I am so sorry for your loss, on so many levels. To Joe's Mom and Dad and Sisters - I lost touch with Joe many years ago when all of our lives took really different directions. However, I remember many stories Joe would tell of growing up in North Dakota. We shared lots of laughter, especially over some of the things that we, as West Texans, would eat! Joe refused to eat black-eyed peas with us on New Year's day and he was absolutely horrified the time I served fried catfish for a meal! He told me the black-eyed peas were horse feed and the catfish were bait! To Alice and Jarred - I am sorry for your loss as well. I mourn with all of you, and find myself reminded of just how precious life and friends really are. I am especially sorry that I am reminiscing as a result of this tragic loss. I loved Joe. I pray that our Heavenly Father will lift all of you in His arms and give you the sure knowledge of His love.
