Rev. Joe D. Parks, age 72, passed away at his residence in Odessa on Sunday, April 7, 2013.
He was born February 22, 1941, to Cleveland and Minnie (Mock) Parks in Midland. He married Dorothy Mae Anderson on April 23, 1964, and was a pastor of Church of God in Christ as well as interim pastor for many other churches. He enjoyed working in his garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Henry L. Parks, George D. Parks, and Cleveland Parks, Jr; and sister Willie L. Smith.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Parks of Odessa; brother John Parks of Midland, sisters Essie Givens of Plainview, Winnie Campbell of Midland and Phyllis Clinton of Odessa; and brother-in-law Arthur Ray Anderson of Odessa.
Services will be held at Living Vision Church on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Ector County Cemetery.
