Johnny (Juan) Arellano Sr., 77, of Odessa, TX, passed away on August 14, 2018 from natural causes after battling thymoma carcinoma for a year and a half.
Johnny was born in Loraine, TX on November 14, 1940. Johnny was married to Concepcion (Connie) Loe on April 29, 1961; they were married 57 years. He worked for The Western Company for 25 years and he was also actively involved at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church as an usher.
Johnny is preceded in death by Canuto and Francisca Arellano (father and mother), Ruben and Roberto Arellano (brothers), and Ruben Arellano (son).
Johnny is survived by his spouse, Concepcion (Connie) Arellano; siblings Canuto Arellano Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Midland, TX, Ramon Arellano and his wife Susie of Lubbock, TX, Manuel Arellano and his wife Rhonda of Midland, TX, Rick Arellano and his wife Michelle of Midland, TX, Carolina Arellano of Colorado City, TX, Linda Ramirez and her husband Lorenzo of Midland, Mary-Helen Arellano of Lamesa, Texas, Santiago Martinez of San Angelo, TX; children Ida Torrez of Odessa, TX, Adelaida Bowden and her husband William of Odessa, TX, Eva Garza and her husband Dean of Odessa, TX, Johnny Arellano Jr. and his wife DeeAnna of Odessa, TX, Norma De Loera and her husband Arthur of Arlington, TX; 9 granddaughters, 7 grandsons, 6 great-granddaughters, and 2 great-grandsons and other family and friends.
A visitation for Johnny will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Garcia, Dean Garza, Jr., Dylan Garza, Dustin DeLoera, Devin DeLoera, Isaac Arellano and Quentin Gutierrez.
The family of Johnny Arellano Sr. wishes to thank MD Anderson, Texas Oncology and all the nurses and staff at Medical Center hospital and Odessa Regional.
