Johnny Lee Vasquez, age 27, passed peacefully in the arms of his wife on August 12, 2021 at Medical Center Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Johnny was born in Odessa on September 1, 1993 to Yolanda Molina Vasquez and Johnny Lee Vasquez.
Johnny absolutely adored his wife. She was his pride and joy in life and he was sure to let her know that he would pass happily – as long as she was by his side. He would’ve gone to the moon and back on a bicycle, if it made her happy. Johnny always made sure his daughter felt beautiful. She definitely had him wrapped around her little finger. He wanted his son to follow in his footsteps by becoming a boxer – so he worked to teach him to be a fighter, just like his dad. Besides spending time with family and friends, Johnny had a passion for adventure, music, laughing and loving life. He enjoyed making everyone laugh. He comes from a family of jokesters so he grew up having a strong sense of humor.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Cassandra Vasquez; children, Rayven Aadya Lozano and Ozia Game Vasquez; mother, Yolanda Vasquez; brother, Armando Molina; sisters, Judy and Marcie Vasquez; and numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5-9 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10 AM at Hubbard-Kelly followed by burial at the Odessa II section of Ector County Cemetery.
