Jose Sosa

Jose Sosa, age 66, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, in Whitesboro, TX.

He was born February 18, 1944, to Feliciano Garcia Ramona Sosa in Pecos, TX. He married Irma Talamantez in Pecos. He was self-employed and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He was a veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Daniel Sosa, his twin brother, Jesus Sosa, his son, Thomas Sosa, and his niece, Angie Segovia.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Sosa; son, Joe Louis Sosa and wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Jannette Ortiz and husband, Abel; his mother-in-law, Lupe Talamantez, all of Odessa; his brother, Ramon Garcia of Ft Stockton, TX; his sisters, Marcelina Newman and husband, Dale of Austin, TX; and Lucilla Gonzales of Ft. Stockton, TX; and seven grandchildren, Stacey Sherman, Mikey Sherman, Angie Ortiz, Abel Ortiz, Jr, Jordan Sosa, Morgan Sosa, and Mason Sosa.

Rosary was said at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Arturo Pestin officiating. Burial will follow at the Los Angeles section of Ector County Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mikey Sherman, Abel Ortiz, Danny Segovia, Roger Talamantez, Jr, Roger Talamantez, Sr, and Larry Wayne Nunez. Honorary pallbearers are Fidel Pena, Jackie Williams, Candelario Mendoza, Adan Manasales, and Kendall Quintana.
