Joy Bell Steelman

Joy Bell Steelman, 79, of Odessa passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Sienna Nursing Home. She was born January 28, 1934 in Crews, TX to Charles Henry & Ollie Elizabeth (Cummings) Seals . She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and she read her Bible every day. She loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, sister & grandmother. She always had a smile on her face and truly lived up to the name of Joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Steelman, (1) grandchild, (3) sisters, & (1) brother.

She is survived by her son, Barney Smith & wife Jan of Odessa, daughter, Shirley Hall of Odessa, sisters, Pearl Calvert of Gardendale, Lavada Haupt of Odessa, (4) grandchildren, Heather McKenzie of Odessa, Corrie Roper of Odessa, Chad Smith of Dallas & Jeff Smith of Odessa, & (9) great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
