

He married Shirley White, January 3, 1955 and they were married until her death in 2010. He started his own business, French’s Diesel Service, in 1972. He was an honest, straightforward, hard working man. There was always an offer of candy, coffee, chips or a sandwich. He was a member of the Choctaw Indian tribe. Lee enjoyed camping, fishing, barbequing, and building remote control air planes and was a member of the Prop Buster RC Club.
Lee served in the air force for 6 years from 1947-1953 attaining the rank of Sergeant, and served in the Korean War, stationed in Guam.
The family will receive friends at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 10:00am-12pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Hood officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Blake and Florence French, wife; Shirley French, and 4 brothers.
He is survived by a son; Michael French; daughters; Coni Ulibarri and husband Gene of Murrieta Ca., Stephanie Rivera and husband Eddy of Odessa, Tx.; a brother Therman French of Lawton, Ok., a sister; Bonnie Knight of Odessa, Tx., eight grandchildren; Brad Cave, Benjamin Cave, Lee Rivera, Jason French, Kalee French, Braden Heard, Justin Heard,and Hunter Russell; three great grandchildren; Haylen Cave, Lily Cave, Max Rivera
