She is survived by her son, Troy Lane Kelley of Odessa, TX: daughter, Trina Renae Riley and her husband Michael Eugene Riley of Odessa, TX: sister, Kathelene Ann Brunkenhoefer and her husband Gene Brunkenhoefer of Santa Fe, TX: 4 grandchildren: 2 great-grandchildren: several nieces and nephews. Deannie is preceded in death by her father, William Emmett Schoonover and her mother, Lela Virginia Schoonover.
Deannie was born on December 1, 1944 in Abilene, TX to William Emmett Schoonover and Lela Virginia Schoonover. After the family moved to Odessa, she attended Ector JR/SR High School. She later married her high school sweetheart, Quinton Kelley, in 1956 and they were married for 17 years. She later moved to League City, TX where she was a long time meat wrapper and retired at the age of 62.
She enjoyed making craft baskets in her spare time. She was very dedicated in helping others and often adopted families in need to help them with their elderly family members. She had a heart of gold and would do whatever she could to help others never expecting anything in return. She was an active and dedicated member of League City Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Odessa Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Odessa Funeral Home with Lynn Money officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial gardens immediately following the service.
