Leroy Shaver

Leroy Shaver, 78, of Odessa passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born January 26, 1933 in Roswell, New Mexico to Buford & Belle (Fitzgerald) Shaver. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1955.

Prior to moving to Odessa two years ago he lived in Andrews, TX for over 36 years where he worked for Koch Pipeline Company. Previously he worked in the pipeline industry in Clovis, NM and Farmington, NM. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Warren Shaver, parents, and brother, Buford Shaver JR.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Shaver of Odessa, sons, Steve Shaver & wife, Candace of Sugar Land, TX, Stan Shaver & wife Becky of Hobbs, NM, his sister, Gerry Baker of Farmington, NM, (4) grandchildren, Jared & Alex Shaver, Shalina Pope & husband Daniel, & Suzi Souter & husband Zach,& (2) great-grandchildren, Hannah & Jackson Souter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastors, Terry Pierce, & Robert Williams officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. M.D.T. at the Tinnie Community Cemetery in Tinnie, NM with Pastor Zach Souter officiating.
