Lewis Leroy Jones

Lewis Leroy Jones, 67, of Odessa passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born November 22, 1943 in Junction, TX to Norman & Ruby Elizabeth (Davis) Jones. He became a Christian on February 2, 2003. He graduated from McCamey High School in 1961. He worked as an electrician all of his life starting as an IBEW union apprentice in 1962. Ultimately owning his own business, P.I.E and retired in 2005 to focus full time on his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Summers and grandmother, Minnie Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jones of Odessa, children, Joyce Jones, Jim Jones & his wife, Kay, James Edward Jones , grandchildren, Alison Jones, Austin Jones, Kristen Poffinbarger, Samira Jones, Tyler James Jones, & Cody Morgan Jones.

There will be a visitation Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating.

The family would like special thanks to the paramedics, and the firemen from the Yukon fire station.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
