Louis Willard McConnell, 89, of Odessa passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Lamun Lusk Sanchez Veteran Home in Big Spring. He was born November 30, 1921 in Osage Township, Labette County, Kansas. He was a retired pipe fitter. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
H e was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Farrah Patton.
He is survived by his son, Glenn McConnell, wife Yvonne of Dallas, daughter, Audrey Branum & husband Jerry of Odessa, brothers, R. L. “Bob” McConnell of Oswego, KS, Dean McConnell & wife Shirley of Cherryvale, KS, sisters, Francis Eichorn of Thornton, CO, Bonnie Oliver & husband Bill of Elk City, KS, (2) grandchildren & many nieces & nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Cherryvale, KS.
