

Love was born in Hale Center, Texas, on March 12, 1942, to Love Hambrick Sr. and Corine Hambrick. He graduated from Lubbock Estacado High School. Love continued his education at Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree. He married Ella Washington on September 15, 1974 and they were married for more than 20 years.
He worked as a cook and dishwasher for Fazoli’s for 10 years. Sug enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching Tom and Jerry with his grandbabies, and playing scratch offs. Most important to him was his faith, and he served as a Bishop at Greater Love Apostolic Ministry for more than 30 years and fellowshipped with other churches all over the Permian Basin.
Love is survived by Roxana Cleveland, Climmie Woodman, Lovely Awofodu, Love Hambrick, son-in-laws: Richard Woodman, Sean Awofodu, Matt Cleveland, and a slew of beautiful grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Love is preceded in death by his mom, dad, sister and brother.

A visitation for Love will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 North Jackson, Odessa, TX 79761. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 19, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Odessa Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761.
