Ludie Bell Dancer, 86, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 5, 1928 in Coolidge, TX to Shelton & Gabrella Lawrence. She was a member of Parks Memorial Church of God in Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sylvester Levi Dancer, Son, Donald Ray Dancer, (3) brothers, Clifton, Raydell, & A.D. Lawrence, (2) sisters, Rosie B. McCoy & Lera Lawrence. She is survived by her sons, B. J. Dancer of Abilene, Sylvester Dancer of Odessa; daughters, Patricia Ann Calhoun & husband Willie of San Antonio, Katrecia Dancer of Odessa; brother, R. S. Lawrence & wife Carrie of Seminole; sisters, Annie M. Carter of Dallas, Laura B. Stewart of Odessa, Alma J. Lawrence of Dallas, Mae H. Johnson of Kyle, TX, Lorene Colbert of Ft. Worth; (13) grandchildren; (17) great-grandchildren; & a host of nieces, nephews, & church family.

A wake will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2015 at Parks Memorial Church of God in Christ, 708 Humble Ave. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Living Vision Church of God in Christ with Pastor James Porter, Superintendent Geoffrey Stirrup officiating , & Superintendent W. C. Kenan, giving the eulogy . Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery, Peaceful Garden section.
