Ludie Ethel Weddel

Ludie “Ethel” Weddel, 98 years old, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Buena Vida Nursing Home. She was born April 22, 1914 in Mt. Vernon, TX to James & Ora (Cornelius) Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church for 60+ years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Cecil Floyd Proctor in 1979, & 2nd husband, W. L. Weddel in 1987, daughter, Diann Norman in 2006, (6) sisters, & (2) brothers.

She is survived by her son, Larry Proctor of Odessa, son-in-law Bill Norman of Odessa, (2) granddaughters, Kelli Stricklen & husband Matt of Austin, & Traci Perales & husband Paul of San Antonio, (2) brothers, Boyd Moore of Hanes City, FL, Murl Moore of Gladewater, TX, step-son, Keith Weddel of Austin, step-daughter, Ruth Weddel of Odessa, numerous nieces, nephews & church friends.

There will be a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at the First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Terry Pugh & Rev. Bobby Proctor (nephew) officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
