Maggie Ruth Myrick

Ruth was born on September 12, 1922, in McKamie, AR. She was a woman of great faith who deeply loved her Lord, her family and her friends. She will be remembered for her quick wit, strength, and wisdom. Ruth was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Odessa.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. “Bob” Myrick; parents Marcus Pomeroy Waddill and Fannie Pearl Olive Waddill; four brothers and four sisters.

Ruth is survived by her four children whom she adored: Judy Henderson of New Braunfels; Jim Myrick of Odessa; Brenda Wood and husband, Guy of Brownwood; and Tammy Lawrence and husband, Lynn of Odessa. Other surviving family members include eight grandchildren Sherry, Lee, Jamie, Mandi, Marcus, Melissa, Erin, and Brooke; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 22, 2014, at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with Curtis Brewer, FBC Minister of Music, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences to the family can be left at www.hubbardkellyfuneralhome.com.
