We are very sad at the passing of Gene, he was such a good man. I remember when he took time to let my daughter Holly interview him for a college project. He was also lucky to have Margaret, she always took such good care of him. Made them matching clothes. They were a sweet couple.

Aunt Margaret,

I was saddened to hear of the death of Uncle Gene. I have such fond memories of Uncle Gene when I was a child when we would go visit Grand Ma Mac and you in Gatesville. I remember always looking for the daddy long leg spiders at Grand Ma Mac's. Uncle Gene was always one of my favorite uncles. May the years of happy memories help you during this time of sorrow.
