

He worked in construction for several years until he opened up his business as the owner of Southern Maid Donuts on Andrews Hwy, where he served his community for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching boxing, baseball and soccer games. He loved to listen to music and go see his favorite bands. He was very family oriented, and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Paulita Gonzalez; father, Justo Gonzalez; brother, Salvador Gonzalez; brother, Adan Gonzalez; sister, Eva Bello. Manuel is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage, Oralia Garcia Gonzalez; brothers, Justo Jesus Gonzalez and Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez, and sisters, Dora G. Castro and Angelica G. Trevino; son, Oscar Gonzalez; son, Jesus Gonzalez; daughter, Lidia Gonzalez Ball, and husband Mark Ball; daughter, Oralia Gonzalez Yanez and husband Frank Yanez; son, Hector Gonzalez; son, Cesar Gonzalez; son, Harvey Gonzalez, and his wife Irene Gonzalez; son, Edgar Gonzalez, and his wife Laura Gonzalez; grandchildren, Oscar Gonzalez Jr., Olivia Gonzalez, Christian Ball, Jacqueline Yanez, Alan Yanez, Megan Yanez, Cynthia A. Gonzalez, Madison M. Gonzalez, Caleb Israel Gonzalez, Aaron Gonzalez, Keanna Gonzalez great-grandchildren, Kevin Gonzalez, Sophia Gonzalez, Jonathan Gonzalez and Eva Rae Gonzalez. Rosary will be said at 7:00pm Friday, September 29th at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00pm Saturday, September 30th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
