Manuel Ybarra Ramos

He attended Odessa High School, Odessa College, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a former Little League coach, served as a mentor with Youth Encouragement Services and was a former member of the Optimist Club.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Antonia Ramos, brothers Juan, Enrique, and Carlos and sisters Dionisia Madrid and Socorro Renteria.

He is survived by his wife Mary Alice, his son Jason Brian and wife Reisa Marie, and his Granddaughter Ava Noelle of Melissa, TX. He is also survived by his sister Antonia Hernandez and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

We would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral tributes , food offerings and especially your presence with us during this time.

A special and grateful gratitude to Shelly Mallard, Louis Serrano and Kim Tuttle, including the staff at Home Hospice and The Hospice House for all the loving and care and consolation given to our family. May God Bless You All Abundantly.

Pallbearers are his nephews JR, Richard, and Steven Ramos and family friends Mario Carrasco, Jr, Bobby Ramirez, and David Saenz.

A Rosary was held Friday, November 9,2012 at Odessa Funeral Home with longtime friend Vickie Gomez presiding.

A Funeral Mass will be held today Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Uecker officiating the Mass.

Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery, Peaceful Garden Section.
