Manuel Lara Tapia, 66, of Odessa passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born August 3, 1944 in Casa de Piedras, TX to Roman & Helen (Lara) Tapia. He was supervisor of safety maintenance at Haliburton. He was a veteran of the Texas National Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jane Tapia, son, Mark Tapia, daughter, Melissa Steen all of Odessa, sisters, Elfida Howard, Elidia Leonard & Eva Martinez all of Pecos, and (3) grandchildren.
A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Santiago Udayar officiating. Interment will follow at Los Angeles Cemetery in Odessa.
