Manuel Venegas

In the Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is to be found A Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather Manuel Venegas. Mr Venegas at the age of 79 and of Odessa passed away Monday March 7,2011 at Regency Hospital. He was born November 9, 1931 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua Mexico, to Tomasa Gonzalez . He united in marriage to Mageli Lujan on May 6, 1951 in Marfa, Texas. He was a Christian; Mr. Venegas is preceded in death by his mother and a Grandson; Alex Venegas. He is survived by Wife; Mageli L. Venegas of Odessa, Sons; Mario Venegas of Murrieta, California, Michael Venegas and wife Carol of Odessa, Daughters; Yolanda Venegas of Odessa, Olivia Hignojos and husband Louis of Odessa, Brother: Leroy Gonzalez of Turlock, California, Sisters; Luz Hernandez, Cleo Smith both of Wichita Falls, Texas, Maria Rios of Ft. Worth, Texas, 13 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren. We the Venegas Family would like to take this time and express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food, offering and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. May God Bless You All Abundantly. Pallbearers will be Roman Venegas, Rene Hignojos, Eric Hignojos, Freddy Matta, Milous Mitchell, Michael Jimenez, Christopher Venegas, and Michael Venegas. A Rosary will be recited at 7PM today Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10AM Thursday March 10, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery~ Los Angeles Section. Services by Odessa Funeral Home.
