Margaret Anne Womochel, 55, of Odessa passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born March 19, 1957 in Chatham Ontario, Canada to Peter Sherburn & Sheila Tuck. She received her Masters Degree in Museum Administration from George Washington University. She married Daniel R. Womochel on August 9, 1985 in Odessa. They were married for 27 wonderful years. She was formerly the president of the Presidential Museum in Odessa. She was a school teacher at St. John’s Elementary School teaching 1st & 3rd grade, also Murray Fly teaching 3rd grade and Special ED. At the time of her death she was teaching 3rd grade at Noel Elementary School. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed many activities such as spending time with her family, family camping trips, book club, Bible study & knitting.
She is survived by her father, Peter Sherburn of Victoria, British Columbia, mother, Sheila Coldicutt & husband Gren of Victoria, British Columbia, husband Dr. Daniel Womochel of Odessa, son, Steven Womochel of Fort Campbell, KY & girlfriend Daniele Curtis of Stillwater, OK, daughter, Kathryn Womochel of Odessa, sisters, Kim Kavanagh & husband Michael of Vancouver, British Columbia, Wendy Kalamaj & husband David of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, nephew, Alec Kalamaj, & nieces, Caitlin & Lauren Kavanagh. She is also survived by many friends who she considered as family.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Colwell officiating.
