Margie was born on September 23, 1927 in Corsicana, TX to Paul and Willie Utley.
On November 21, 1946 she married Monte Garrison in Dallas, TX. They were married 62 years before his death in 2008.
Margie enjoyed working with hearing impaired students for twenty years. She was a dedicated daughter who took care of her mother for over twenty-five years. Soon after her mother passed away, Margie was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. No one expected her to beat it, but God knew she would because she was needed here. She was a devoted wife as she cared for Monte as during his nine year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren. They always loved coming to stay with their “Nanna”, because they knew she had a special place in her heart for each one of the. She was undeniably the best mom ever. She always had a shoulder to lean on and she was a wonderful listener. She also had excellent advice to share. Margie was blessed with a keen sense of humor. She was quick witted even when she didn’t try to be. This lovely one of a kind lady will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, daughter Brenda, parents, one brother and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Christy Ordener and husband Garry of Odessa, TX; a son, Bruce Garrison of Midland, TX; grandchildren Jason, Jacob, Jordan Heidi, Hillary, Holli, Brad, Bryan, and Bryce; great grandchildren McKinley Jayden, and Kaden; one nephew Paull Marcus.
