Marguaretta Dean Pope

Marguaretta Dean Pope, 93, known as Mart to family and friends, peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born January 8, 1922 in Mexia, TX to Wesley & Ester Dean. She was a longtime resident of Odessa but now calls heaven her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Janis Louise Pope Proctor in 1962 and her loving husband of 51 years LeRoy George Pope, a World War II veteran, in 1992.

Her memory lives on with daughter Carolyn Cast and husband Arthur (Art) of Mansfield, TX, daughter, Charlotte Hodges and husband Steve of Pensacola, FL, son, Darrell Pope and wife Shelly of Odessa, (6) grandchildren, (8) great-grandchildren plus many beloved family and friends.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Workman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Family visitation is set for 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, January 23, 2015 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your local church or favorite charity in her memory.
