Mary Kathryn Collier

Kathryn was born in Jefferson, Texas on August 15. 1936 to Mary Allie and Artice Kimbrol Stuart. She married her first husband,Edwin Meroney, on March 2, 1955 and they had four children. Kathryn loved being a mother and was involved with all her children's activities. Later in life, she married Richard Collier on January 11, 1997, whom she met at the Odessa Senior Center.

She worked as a seamstress up until her health no longer allowed. Kathryn was involved with the American Business Women's Association and the Commemorative Air Force. Kathryn never let anyone tell her she "couldn't" do anything. She was strong willed and taught her children to be the same. She held a tender place for all her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her!

Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years; her parents; siblings, Myrtis (Harvey) Lemmon, Clyde (Adele) Stuart, Russel (Louise) Stuart, Raymond Stuart; and grandson, Ronald Meroney.

She is survived by her children, Sarah (Cliff) Kasky of Hillman, MI., Carl (Melinda) Meroney of Breckenridge, TX., Bobby Meroney of Odessa, TX., Janice (Robert) Rodriguez of Midland, TX.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Mary will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A luncheon will follow service at the Commemorative Air Force Desert Squadron at 411 E. Yukon, Odessa.
